OrionStar Robotics showcased its CleaniBot range of cleaning robots from September 15 to 17, 2026 at CleanPro Expo in Friedrichshafen, Germany. For the very first edition of the trade show, the Chinese service robot manufacturer exhibited five complementary models, from a compact robot for small areas to a high-capacity floor scrubber designed for large spaces. The event reflects OrionStar's ambition to strengthen its commercial presence in the European professional cleaning market.

Key takeaways

  • OrionStar Robotics exhibited five CleaniBot robots (J36, M1, K1, S55 Pro and C5) at CleanPro Expo 2026 in Friedrichshafen, Germany, from September 15 to 17, 2026.
  • The CleaniBot C5, the highest-capacity model in the range, claims a cleaning efficiency of up to 1,980 m² per hour, with a 550 mm cleaning width.
  • The CleaniBot S55 Pro combines floor cleaning with UVC disinfection, while the CleaniBot K1, with its compact 42 cm profile, delivers 20 kPa of suction.
  • CLEAN PRO EXPO 2026 is a brand-new trade show, organized by Messe Friedrichshafen, which brought together around 200 exhibitors across two halls totaling 12,600 m².
  • OrionStar Robotics, whose parent company is Cheetah Mobile, claims a presence in more than 60 countries and regions.

Five CleaniBot robots for five different uses

On its CleanPro Expo booth, OrionStar built its presentation around the idea that professional cleaning cannot be reduced to a single robot. "Different environments call for different robotic capabilities, rather than a one-size-fits-all solution," the brand said in its press release.

The range on display ran from the CleaniBot J36, a small robot for shops and retail spaces that combines sweeping, scrubbing, vacuuming and dust mopping with AI navigation able to clean right up to obstacles, to the CleaniBot M1, designed for the daily cleaning of commercial premises (scrubbing, sweeping, dust mopping). The CleaniBot K1 targets tighter spaces with a 42 cm-wide profile, 20 kPa of suction and an anti-tangle brush designed to limit jams caused by hair and threads. The CleaniBot S55 Pro rounds out the offering with an ultraviolet (UVC) disinfection function for environments where hygiene is a priority, on top of its floor scrubbing capabilities.

The CleaniBot C5, a floor scrubber built for large spaces

The CleaniBot C5 is the largest model in the range presented. According to the spec sheet published by OrionStar, it combines a 45-liter clean water tank and a 45-liter wastewater tank, for a stated battery life of three hours of scrubbing and eight hours of dust mopping between charges. Its 550 mm cleaning width and 25 kg of brush pressure allow it to claim a 95% dirt removal rate and a cleaning efficiency of up to 1,980 m² per hour. The robot, which weighs 170 kg and recharges automatically, runs at a noise level below 68 dB(A), often a decisive criterion for daytime use in busy venues such as shopping centers or exhibition halls.

CleanPro Expo, a new showcase for professional cleaning in Europe

CleanPro Expo was only in its first edition: the show, organized by Messe Friedrichshafen, brought together around 200 exhibitors across two halls totaling 12,600 m², drawing visitors from southern Germany, Austria, Switzerland and northern Italy, as well as France, the Czech Republic and Liechtenstein. Ahead of this first edition, Klaus Wellmann, CEO of Messe Friedrichshafen, said that "the Clean Pro Expo will place a clear emphasis on the industry's future-focused topics, including robotics, new technologies, digitalization, sustainability and human resources." OrionStar's presence fits squarely within the robotics focus sought by the organizers, in a European professional cleaning sector facing a shortage of skilled labor.

OrionStar, a global service robot player

Founded in Beijing, Beijing OrionStar Technology Co., Ltd. develops commercial service robots under the OrionStar brand, a subsidiary of the Cheetah Mobile group. The company claims a presence in more than 60 countries and regions and positions its CleaniBot robots for a wide range of environments: hotels, offices, shopping centers, hospitals, schools and exhibition halls. Its presence at CleanPro Expo 2026 marks a further step in the manufacturer's expansion into the European market, alongside other Asian manufacturers already active in the sector.
